Beginner Ballet for Adults This one-hour class is designed for adults interested in taking up ballet. It will break down the basics to allow an easy understanding of ballet from the very beginning. This class is perfect for those who have always wanted to try ballet or danced as a child. The class will introduce basic ballet terminology and technique in a traditional ballet class format. Depending on the students, there may be elements of barre work mixed in with the class choreography. Returning Ballet for Adults with Experience This class is for students with at least 1 year of recent ballet experience. It is designed as a continuation class from the previous year. Many students improve their ballet technique over the course of the class. Our Ballet students study and take examinations with the Society of Russian Ballet. Exams usually take place in March. The Examinations are a very rewarding part of studying ballet. The examiner will come from Vancouver and the students will be assessed in both technique and presentation.
