Dr. Lynda Rowden, a registered psychologist and clinical psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, received her graduate training at the University of Waterloo. She earned her doctorate degree by completing a dissertation on dual diagnosis. In this study, she used social competence variables to predict outcomes for individuals with developmental disabilities. Her clinical doctoral internship was completed at Alberta Children's Hospital. Dr. Rowden has been a Peel Region resident for over three decades. She has worked at Peel Memorial Hospital for many years in numerous areas. She was employed in Pediatrics, Child and Adolescent Clinics, Adolescent Inpatient Units, Adult Psychiatry (Inpatient and outpatient follow-up), and eventually in the position of Clinical Coordinator for the Specialized Preschool Service. Dr. Rowden is a private practitioner at a multidisciplinary clinic, including Psychologists, Psychotherapists. ABI/IBI Consultants are Therapists. Speech-Language Pathologists, and Occupational Therapists in Brampton. Dr. Rowden offers both online and in-person services, using secure video conferencing. The practice provides a broad range of treatment-based, assessment and consultative services. They work with children and adolescents and adults with many issues. Dr. Rowden and her staff have specific practical training to treat individuals with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders (ADHD), Tourette’s Syndrome (TS), Obsessivecompulsive disorder(OCD), Autism Spectrum Disorderss (ASD), Developmental Disabilities (DDD), Learning Disabilities (LD), and other learning disabilities. The department of mental health treats many individuals with Depression, anxiety disorders, broader mood disorders, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorders(PRSD). The practice primarily provides services to clients with complex and co-morbid conditions. Dr. Rowden offers psychological assessments and treatment services to families and children. She also treats various adults by providing cognitive and emotional assessment services. Her departments also provide critical incident management, stress management, anxiety, marital/family conflict, and depression. Dr. Rowden also provides treatment services for long-term police, policing families, and first responders to stressors and their needs.
