FAKE BACK DATED SAFETY-BAD CARS-NOT HONEST-WILL IGNORE YOU ONCE YOU PAY-all good reviews from family/his mechanic ken, notice he has not responded to this post!!! Guilty! (UPDATE) I bought a Envoy from Captain Auto, paid $5800, it was supposed to be AC stopped working again. safety/certified/mechanically sound ,about 5 days after having it I put $2,100 into it 4 upgrades including a deck , reverse camera, car alarm Etc Active Green says the car needs 5-$7,000 in repairs..Repairs including but not limited to-1.4x4 does not work..2.The rack and pinion pisses out fluid and needs to be filled before each Drive..3. It did not have reverse lights (he fixed that)..4. The rear wiper did not work (hft)..5. Both front ball joints (claims he fixed it but six months later I'm being told they need to be replaced again)..6. claim to have done an oil change but the filter was old caked in oil cracked & leaking ..7. The engine light came on about 10 days it was the EVAP code..8. About 7days after that the 4x4 light came on..9. 10 seconds after getting into the car to take it home the service Stabilitrak light came on..10. The calipers are so seized it takes a minimum of 40lb of pressure to move the tire..11. the ABS locks up anytime it kicks in and when you start moving again you can feel the car dragging ..12. Active Green and Ross said that the brake system should not have passed a safety..13. It has locking wheel nuts I was never given the key..14. The glove box was broken open I was told it was going to be fixed they fixed the latch but didn't put a key hole back in it like I asked for..15. The panel that holds the buttons for the seat was broken off I asked that it would be fixed and their idea of fixing it was sticking a wood screw through it to hold it in place..16.A/C stop working a week after I picked it up..17. Suspension stopped working as soon as it got cold... has more but I'm running out of space for the rest of the story) Now we will talk about my experience with him he was very nice to my face, told me that they would take care of all repairs the car would be safetied & mechanically sound and it would be a good car fast forward to a couple of viewings a bunch of conversations, I told him I wanted the vehicle gave him a deposit he told me to give him the weekend to get the car ready , I go to pick up the vehicle payed him the rest of the money in cash I asked him what was done to the vehicle to get it ready , he said that they change a flicker bulb & fixed the AC ( that's code for threw in a can of refrigerant) I proceeded to ask what else and listed off things like ball joints, brakes, shocks, battery , tires ect he said he doesn't know and for me to talk to the mechanic, he gave me the key and he would have his mechanic meet me out there to talk , now the mechanic is with me and I'm talking to him...I ask the mechanic what was done to safety the vehicle his response " I don't remember I do so many things around here" I was pretty confused, it was Monday when I picked up the car and he had supposedly been working on it all weekend so how do you forget that quickly, I got in the car started to drive away and before I even turn the corner the servicestabletrak light turned on I called Captain Auto told him that the light was on and that the car did this weird wobble thing he said to bring it back tomorrow as they were closing for the day .. I have this crook and his mechanic on video saying things like " don't tell her anything it's a fucking $5,000 used car", " if the part is $25 she can fix it herself", " don't worry if we fix the safety related issues I think I could get her to drop the other stuff", " it's still leaking", "why are we fixing that " , "it should have been done with the safety" - mechanic making call in my car to his ex to get back together her response "I can't be with somebody who drinks from a thermos filled with vodka pretending its water
