Welcome to McMaster Dermatology Centre Welcome to the McMaster University Division of Dermatology. The Division of Dermatology comprises many part-time and academic faculty members who are dedicated to patient care, education, and research. Outpatient dermatology is offered at the David Braley Health Sciences Centre and McMaster University Medical Centre. Outpatient dermatology evaluations and treatments are carried out by our physicians who can provide expert care for common skin diseases. Our specialties include immuno-bullous disease, cutaneous cancer, contact dermatitis, and patch tests. The High-risk skin carcinoma program (HRSCP) provides treatment for renal transplant patients. The skin cancer screening program was developed to supplement comprehensive medical treatment for very complex kidney transplant patients who are at high risk for developing skin cancer. This division collaborates with other services and divisions on rheumatic diseases and connective tissues, IBD, and other systemic conditions. Our division provides a range of educational opportunities, including electives in dermatology for McMaster University medical students, residents, and other national and internationally recognized programs. Our division's faculty conducts active clinical research on melanoma and other skin cancers such as atopic dermitis, psoriasis, and acne. Clinical faculty members are responsible for didactic teaching, International and national meetings, supervising MSc student, and writing clinical guidelines.
