He owned the Main Garage and Motor Sales in the 1930s at the Tuxedo and Main intersection. Charlie was very dependable. He offered the best services and products, ensuring that he had many repeat clients. Satisfying clients was his source of joy. In 1993, Scott McPhail and Steve McPhail started McPhail Auto. They were the direct grandkids of Charlie McPhail. Both shared a passion for mechanical things and wanted to replicate their grandfathers’ successes. They wanted their clients to have access to the best services and cars. They are committed to providing the best services while anticipating customer needs. Customer service is the most important thing to them. As a family-owned company, they understand this. They focused on customer satisfaction to achieve long-term success. McPhail auto is one of the best automotive garages I have ever used. Everything is explained to you in detail with no pressure, your car is ready when they say it will be. The staff are friendly, courteous and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend them to my family and friends.
Having used this shop before, I went back for a second time. All I needed was a new headlight and a marker light. I used to do that stuff myself, but I'm old and my hands don't work that well anymore. All that follows is directly from my receipt. My car was in their shop for almost exactly fifteen minutes. The side marker replacement bulb cost $01.99. McPails's charged me $42.00 to stick it in, for a total of $43.99 to replace one marker light. The headlight unit cost $21.98. Again, they charged me $42.00 to stick it in, for a total of $63.98. Total cost of changing a burned our headlight and marker light? $122.01.
$84.00 for fifteen minutes labour. They sure saw me coming.
Definitely a deal for seniors.
