Balzac's Kitchener

The redeveloped Lang Tannery, adjacent to the University of Waterloo’s Health Sciences Centre, now serves as a ‘convergence center’ where business and creativity can flourish together. Google, Desire2Learn, and Communitech are among the vibrant tenants here at Balzac's Kitchener. When artists, intellectuals, and entrepreneurs come together to exchange ideas, the atmosphere is electrifying, much like our double espresso shot. Balzac’s Coffee Roasters is an ode to Parisian Grand Cafes, brought to life in Canada. A small coffee cart in 1996 led to our first café in Stratford, Ontario. We now have 16 locations nationwide and are available in grocery stores.

The only negative noted is that some customers tend to treat the place like an office but in general, the café offers excellent food and a relaxed atmosphere.
