sunshine Montessori School's (SMS) Montessori teachers work in an environment created for children. It is meticulously planned and organized to facilitate children's learning. The unique environment allows children to learn their natural ability to learn through exploration. Children learn at their level in the Montessori classroom. Interactions between children are diverse as they can interact with various children, younger or older. As a result, children challenge their learning limits and improve in various aspects. Children who join the Prima Casa or Casa programs are enthusiastic to learn. Students in this age group have unending curiosity and amazement. The skilled professional Montessori teachers guide their enthusiasm by providing curriculum and practical materials in the following areas: Practical Life; Sensorial; Mathematics; Language and Culture. Music and physical educators also visit the children weekly. We strive to promote independence by giving children an environment that is designed for them. The children are allowed full freedom to choose from available activities, which are demonstrated by the teachers. Children can work on their own or with small groups. The children have the autonomy to repeat or extend and expand the activities. While doing so, teachers help them make a balanced choice from different blocks of the curriculum. When children use their freedom to learn from their experience, they become more focused, disciplined, and self-motivated, which leads to positive self-image, work ethic in our youngest students.
