Maurice (Moe) McLauchlin worked in special education before retiring. In 1994, he started a group of younger and retired teachers. The group aimed to assist students in the London area because of changes in the school system. He donated his time for 20 years; when he was leaving, the company became an official "not for Profit." The company started as Lambeth Learning Centre and is now the corporate head office of Educational Help Centres Inc. todays over two other teacher groups located in London, one in the East, and the other in the North. There is also one in St. Thomas. An administrator and teacher work from Oxford County as well as Lambton-Kent. Currently, there are 50 teachers serving students from JK-2nd year University and College.
