Huron Heights Early Childhood Learning Centre grew from a conversation about the need for high-quality childcare and a commitment to making a difference for children and families. It began when several daycare homes in the city of London decided to expand their operations and create a new organization to meet the changing needs of families in the community. At present, it operates 14 Early Childhood Learning Centres and Extended Day Programs (Before/After School Care) in the city of London. Huron Heights Early Childhood Learning Centre believes in a world where every child and all those who love and care for them can participate in learning communities that provide space and time to build relationships and share their voices and take responsibility for their own and each other’s well-being and learning. It aims to enable all its families and team members to realize their full potential. Huron Heights Early Childhood Learning Centre nurtures and supports children’s curious minds and open hearts by providing personalized childcare and education. Its innovative culture fosters a sense of community and values young citizens while also supporting families by partnering with them in their children’s learning and development. All children have the potential to be fully human and should not be seen as resources to be used to make the world a better place. We believe in the intrinsic worth and dignity of every child, as they are capable of learning and making sense of the world. Moreover, they are not machines that need to be fixed but children who can enjoy their childhood in their own way, without any interference.
