Background of Chris Smith and his passion for massage In 2010, Chris graduated from D'arcy Lane Institute, London Ontario. Before the end of massage therapy, the Nashville Tennessee native and Tallahassee Florida resident had moved to Canada. Unfortunately, Chris was involved in a car accident that injured three friends and killed another. He also cared for a friend after he broke his leg accidentally. Though he thought he could do massage therapy himself, he considered his healthcare career a way to become part of the healing process. His passion for massage therapy began after his school, realizing the effectiveness of massage therapy after it was all over. Chris married his wife Tanya, later became a stepfather to Zane, then a father to Derek in 2011. Chris launched his health and wellness center, The Backsmiths, in April 2019. Health care professionals and personal trainers work with Chris at The Backsmiths to empower him to help his customers and their communities. Generally, Chris spends most of his time with the family and massaging his pets. While not doing this, he might be seen training for the next Obstacle Course Race. Chris loves food and often travels with his family whenever he gets the chance.
