Let's see how our company, Birchmount Gymnastics Centre, began. Would you believe that it opened its doors to the public on the 2nd of September in the year 2002? Birchmount Gymnastics Centre started with a small idea in July 2002. You might think this idea was a 10-month idea, but it took much longer. It took over a decade to develop something special. The imaginative brains behind Birchmount are Linda Clifford & Ed McCready. They came up with a unique approach to gymnastics. Their passion is to build self-esteem in athletes and have fun exercising. The facility's coaches create a comfortable and exciting environment where children will learn the skills and flexibility they need for gymnastics. However, Birchmount will also help kids build self-confidence, self-esteem, and a love for doing their best. Linda Clifford's academic background includes her Master of Education degree, and she also holds her NCCP Level 2 certification in Men's and Women's Gymnastics. Clifford has over two decades of experience as a coach in competitive, preschool, and recreational gymnastics. She also served the provincial government for 30 years, rising through the ranks as communication and policy director and VP for leadership training and communications. Currently, she is the president of Gymnastics Ontario, a provincial association with 190 clubs and 100,000 members.
