Our Dance School also offers Dance Camps. Talk to Us. Ballet Ballet has a strong focus on proper technique, body alignment, terminology, and both traditional and current ballet techniques. It is the foundation of all types of dance, and it is where you should begin if you and your dancer are unsure of what genre to participate in. Ballet is a beautiful and challenging form of dance that develops and enhances technique, poise, grace, and strength.

Parents are elated with The Dance Edge instructing toddlers and are welcomed by a positive atmosphere. This dance studio has garnered numerous good reviews because parents appreciate the instruction and ballet classes, summer camp and evenings in store for kids. The students love the fact that they get more individual dancing time due to the small class sizes, and that they get to learn new dance moves each day. Sommer Schantz works at The Dance Edge after-school dancing program and tries to encourage the kids she works with that they can do any decent move they wish if they work hard enough. This is the video I took on my last day at the studio. Summer colors are painted on the dancer's faces and they execute unique dance moves that the small crowd watching finds incredible. The shocked, impressed faces in the stands showed that Sommer and the other instructors have pushed these kids to know that they can be whoever they wish by thinking about their goals, and that they can achieve them. Summer camp students also tried dancing and were more trap dancers than ballet dancers, but they understood what Sommer taught them and were patient as they figured it out. The Dance Edge is a wonderful studio and highly recommended for all children.
