Hale Criminal Law Office

I have been a criminal defence lawyer since 1989. My main area of practice is as a sole practitioner, but in 2021, I began working with Cassandra Richards. My trials take place in Ottawa and the Outaouais, and I often appear in l'Orignal, Cornwall, and Brockville. I have also been to Pembroke, Perth, and some satellite courthouses. A few cases have gone to the Supreme Court of Canada - most of the Supreme Court decisions in the past twenty years have quoted me. I also regularly take cases on appeal to the Ontario Court of Appeal. I became a member of the Bar of the Northwest Territories in 2018. I conduct appeals and trials regularly in all of their Northern towns and also attend the circuit courts.
