During this period, I have had the opportunity to work in various restaurants and hotels. This background has prepared me well as I seek to create the best massage business. My earliest experience with massage therapy was about five years ago when I had a sport-related injury. The therapists I visited were people I have never met before. I was more than amazed at how they helped me recover. Since then, I wanted to learn more about their practice. After many years of wondering, I decided to change careers and pursue this line of work. I chose my school, the International Academy of Massage, Ottawa, after a great deal of research. It is one of the best schools in Canada, boasting the highest pass rate for provincial exams. The school's extensive curriculum allowed me to treat a wide range of injuries and conditions that require massage therapy. Learning is a continuous process, and I am open to including other subjects in my life. I would have previously pursued a Trauma and Addiction program by the time before starting this program at Algonquin College. Additionally, I attended Carleton University for a while. This, together with several other factors, contributes to my mental health and well-being. In the next couple of years, I will complete a psychology degree to have a better understanding of the mental stress that affects us every day, a concept I already know from my studies on the mind and human behavior. In the next few years, I plan to expand my business offerings to include other healing modalities.
