Bike Pirates provides a hands-on confidence-building learning environment. We are a non-profit organization that is staffed entirely by volunteers. There is no need for an appointment. But, if it is your first visit, you will be required to fill out a waiver. You may be required by the volunteer to leave because it is not a secure area. Additionally, the volunteer may "fire" you. This program is run by volunteers so there can be bumps in the road. We want honest feedback from you. With perseverance, you will greatly improve your mechanical skills within 6 months. Bike Pirates offers: Do It-Yourself (DIY) space where you can: Learn how to maintain your bike Drop-in to work on your bike Even build a bike from scratch We sell fully restored bicycles and new and used parts. We appreciate second-hand and used bikes, tools, and parts. The following things are done by Bike Pirates; We temporarily repair your bike to make it rideable. This is our first script, and we are learning, so please be patient. One repair will be allowed per visit, and minor adjustments or quick fixes may be the only thing done. This service will require a 30-minute time investment. Below is a list of these services. Please keep in mind that these are only a few of the many services available. This decision will be made by the volunteer working at the time, so please accept their decision.
