Founded in 1996, Kensington is a Canadian alternative asset management firm. The company has offices in Toronto and Calgary. Kensington has managed assets with a value exceeding $2.5 billion since its inception in venture capital, private equity, and growth equity. We strive to create great companies and top-performing investments for our investors. Our investment platform provides access to a robust portfolio with strong risk-adjusted returns in alternative strategies with low correlation to the public markets. Kensington Venture Capital has invested actively since 1996. Excellent relationships with all the major US and Canadian markets are also maintained. Kensington invests in venture as part of its Kensington Private Equity Fund, which is one of the three strategies within its core strategy. It is still open for new investors. Three separate venture funds are also managed by Kensington: Kensington Venture Fund II, Kensington Venture Fund II, and BC Tech Fund.
