SUMMARY   Reviews Summary

The Studio 500 training reviews are overwhelmingly positive. The students greatly appreciate the pre-apprentice curriculum and believe that the complete training results in self-assurance and professional growth. The tutor, Alex, is continuously lauded for her striving work and thorough instruction, her compassion and kindness as a tutor, and her open-door policy. These allow students to engage in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere where team spirit thrives. Also, Darrah and Cynthia are some of the most compassionate professionals at the school. Their backing and promoting students' career progression alongside the hands-on workshops make Studio 500 a robust beginning for every person working in hair fashion. Therefore, based on the students' confidence and gratitude, Studio 500 is a robust and pleasant school to learn hairdressing. This article suggests that other students should come for our courses.

If you are new in the hairstyling industry and your goal is to be an hairdresser this school is the perfect choice for you, since the teachers here are very knowledgeable about hairdressing. If you want to be a barber then this is not the right place for you, since the teachers have very little knowledge about barbering and it's only covered in barely 3% of the course, but that's ok, because in Canada Barbering is not considered a trade. If you are already in the industry and you just want to get your hairstyling certificate because you need it , then I suggest you to stay away from this school. The goal at the end of the course should be for you to be prepared to pass the government exam. Unfortunately that's not the case. It took me several tries to pass it. The reason is because the school doesn't train you properly to pass it, and the material they make you study doesn't really match the government exam. To pass this school you need to go through level 1 and level 2, and after that they give you and option to take a free extra course of 5 sessions on how to pass the government exam. Too bad that the material that they teach you there doesn't match it at all. Its true though, the course costs around $600 between fee, books and mannequins, and if you pass they'll give you $1000 back, but they still don't count the days you left work to go there and you had to waste in a place that doesn't prepare you properly. To write the exam it will also cost you 170$ every time you write it. Also, according to my experience, the teachers will make your life miserable, especially if you're a barber. Instead of helping you improve, they will find any way possible to make it harder and give you a low mark. It's like they enjoy doing that. But it's ok, who knows? Maybe that's the right way. I am willing to go through all of this, and learn about pin curls, perms, cornrows, and any other superficial stuff that they want you to learn and I'm willing to do so if it's part of the curriculum. But at the same time I also pretend that what I'm learning is accurate enough for me to pass the government exam. Unfortunately wherever they teach you it's not accurate at all.Because let's be honest, the exam is the important part. So, again, if you're already in the trade and your goal it's just to get that certificate I suggest you to stay away from this school and hire a decent tutor that can help you pass the exam.
