About this business

Leaders of Character and Leadership Leadership, Character, Values Program The Leadership, Character, Values Program is based on leadership, all grades, and grade-level support from a grade mentor. There are also intersession excursions although the program is regularly scheduled. There are four levels of LCV in each grade: Leadership, Citizenship, Stewardship, and Confident Self. They build up over time and give the students practical tools that they can use in every aspect of their life. The LCV aims to act as a channel for participation in cocurriculars and athletics. The tools and skills that are developed are primarily aimed at working with other people in a positive and effective way. Instructors and Staff The instructors at Lakefield College demonstrate and speak to the value of the LCV Program in all aspects of their teaching. They enjoy giving lessons that the students can connect to the real world, and they have no problem incorporating the LCV into their academic, athletic, and extracurricular content. They celebrate when the students demonstrate the LCV values in their daily lives. They serve as resources to students, parents, and peers in this area. The Grade 12 Senior in Charge (SIC) Program The Grade 12 Senior-in Charge (SIC) Program starts in September when the students take on the role of Student Council at Lakefield College. This includes all the duties of the regular students as well as some extra tasks. The students must be organized and communicate well with their peers to succeed. In November, the students switch roles and become the executive officers of their various committees, and they must work together to create a clean and organized school experience. This concludes in August with a final wrap-up meeting with the School Life Class.
