The McTague Law Firm merged with Whiteside, Coughlin & Whiteside in 1967. This firm was founded by John Rodd & Ernest Wigle in 1930. Rodd was a well-known counsel and was the last person to present before the Judicial Committee of Privy Council. Wigle was elected Mayor of Windsor in the late 1930s. John W. Whiteside was a partner in the firm from 1976 until he took a job with the Faculty of Law at the University of Windsor. Maurice F. Coughlin worked with the firm from 1976 to 1983. McTagues partners In 1981, the McTague Firm's partners purchased the land and the law firm's building in the economic downturn in the City of Windsor. They built these offices.
