The School House Academy Daycare

School House Academy Daycare is a play-based learning center. Children thrive and learn through play. The School House curriculum aims to recognize and develop activities that the child likes and is motivated to participate in. Learning happens in many areas, and so we try to hit as many milestones as possible during each child’s development. Children will participate in school day activities based on their age and development. Anecdotal observations will be made, and the emphasis will be placed on observation to see which activities each child likes and is motivated by. We will then apply these observations to our Early Learning for Every Child Today (ELECT) milestones. The School House’s strongest kindergarten values are respect, manners, and self-control. The School House Daycare will be a place apart from others, where children are encouraged to be kind and patient with others. We value the use of the Ontario Curriculum to implement and plan the program for each child's activities.
