About this business

Gianni Battista, an NDG original since August 2012, Café de Monkland's Monkland branch in Monkland. Three years after Café de Mercanti first opened, Gianni Battista started. Frank Miozzi opened Cafe de Mercanti's Old Port location with Gianni Battista in 2015. Gianni has over a decade of barista experience in the small Italian town of Sermoneta in Lazio. He also expanded the Monkland store in 2017, doubling its size. It is true to say that coffee is the passion of his life. Ask him. Each type of coffee bean has a unique roasting temperature and time. A particular blend of coffee beans is used in our house blend, as chosen by Gianni. It takes some time to get to the ideal mix and roast.
