YQR Cycle Repair is located in the heart of Regina Saskatchewan. The owner, a veteran 31-year-old instrument technician at Co-op's refinery, earned his Bicycle Assembly & Maintenance and Wheel Building & Truing Certificates from the Barnett Bicycle Institute. YQR's fully-equipped garage can repair, service, and inspect any bike. Our friendly staff will also order the part if they do not have it. After I retired in December, I decided to get untired by opening a bike shop because I observed a lot of cyclists in my neighborhood. The central Alberta Bicycle School certified me as a bicycle mechanic in March. It was my job as a 4th class power engineer and instrumentation mechanic that enabled me to settle into the new venture quickly. Being comfortable with the shop made the transition easy for me. I spend my time reading, studying French, or trying out new recipes. If the weather is good, and I am not repairing bikes, you may find me on Regina's trails.

All the customers in the reviews are very contented with the bike service they got from YQR Cycle Repair, especially with the mechanic, John. Many confirmed that he is knowledgeable and provided an affordable and friendly service. The customers also shared their vision for the business and were eager to come back for future repairs and maintenance jobs. All comments acknowledge the expert and personalized job the mechanic offered and the emphasis on transparent communication. John went above and beyond, with some customers revealing that he engaged them while working on their bikes, provided replacement parts for less than the price of repair, and shared essential maintenance skills and tips. When many suggested for review, saying that this was the best service in Regina and for good reason, this could have been a clear way of showing appreciation for the comprehensive and affordable service they experienced.
