wahkohtowin School. Our school is a vibrant community that provides a warm welcome to many families of different backgrounds and various cultures, including Metis, First Nations people, and other new immigrants. Wahkohtowin is a pre-kindergarten to grade 8 school and features the only Cree Language & Culture Program in Saskatoon Public Schools. Free busing to and from any part of the city is included in this program. Our school is filled with resource teachers and resources to support students' academic success. EAL students can also be mainstreamed or programmed. We have an academic program for students with learning disabilities, and there's also an educational alternative as needed. We provide a cooperative parent childcare centre, allowing children to move to school easily as they grow older from our daycare. We are committed to making wahkohtowin a safe, inclusive, and engaging place for everyone. There is a wide range of learning activities and opportunities at wahkohtowin – from an award-winning literacy program to hands-on math initiatives, extensive arts education programming. We emphasize research skills and critical thinking, which will be crucial for future jobs and life. wahkohtowin School Community Council (SCC), actively participates in the education of students. Every parent is encouraged to join the SCC to contribute to the vitality and life of the school. Sustainability and wellness are promoted, and the school is a Nutrition-Positive School/Nut Aware. This means that no less nutritious food can be served in schools, and our school lunches emphasize healthy choices and local foods. Families in crisis needing food assistance can obtain a highly nutritious, healthy snack and a prepared emergency breakfast or lunch.

The reviews overwhelmingly express a fondness for the child-care center. The parents share their children's enjoyment of the staff and describe them as friendly and responsive, making their children appreciate each visit. One parent has stated that the instructors are always present, not involved in any activity that does not engage with the children, showing their commitment to the youngsters. This dedication indicates that this is a highly engaging and delightful program for children. These affirmations also indicate that the young students appreciate their experiences, making the place a source of joy. This suggests that the featured child care program has the possibility to be a beneficial and fulfilling environment for children.
