About this business
Fitbump: Where Moms & Kiddos Thrive Together. Fitness. Friendship. Family.
My fitness quest began in Jasper (Alberta), where I ran trails, biked, and boot camped with my friend. When I moved to the UK, I played rugby, went to a British Military Fitness class, ran obstacle races, and long-distance races. In addition to my social life, I loved being outside. But now I'm back in Canada after having my first child and being part of the workforce again.
Everything changed. Too touch-oriented, no outdoor winter workouts, not my favorite sport. I was afraid when my body was bigger, and I didn't know which workouts were safe. I spent nine months without participating in any activity. I don't think this helped me love the nine months spent with my baby. It wasn't easy after Molly was born. Sitting at home for three months thinking of going back to what I love. I tried some Mom & Baby classes of mom and baby yoga. I didn't know anyone; it was hard to connect.
Fitbump is a gym designed for moms-to-be and new moms. It is a space where pregnant women and new moms could workout and connect with one another, and it is a lot of fun. Fitbump is here to support you as you navigate your journey through pregnancy and motherhood. Our programs allow for lots of interaction and sharing of your mom's life.
I founded Fitbump because I wanted moms to feel connected and have a good time. Then I became passionate about teaching women about their bodies. During pregnancy and postpartum, this was the primary workout focus. I always wanted to help people, and now I'm working on it. Fitbump platform is a way to empower, educate, and support women.
