These patterns can be so overwhelming that we fall back into our old ways of coping. These coping mechanisms are no longer working and can create more problems instead. Sometimes we can feel like we are drowning in the waves of our emotions. If we do not know how to navigate them, they can be so overwhelming that we feel like we are in danger of drowning. If we learn to ride out the waves of our emotions, it can lead to increased growth and opportunity for transformation. Fear can cloud our judgment and steer us away from our true north. We do not take the time to fully embrace the fear and understand its meaning. This mindset can lead us to make hasty decisions and lose touch with our inner compass.
