Main Campus: University of Saskatchewan (USask) in Saskatoon, Treaty 6 territory and traditional home of the Metis, is Canada's medical doctoral university. USask is one of Canada's most research-intensive institutions and is home to leading research in areas of global importance, including water security, food security, infectious diseases, and other critical areas. Our world-class facilities support research and discovery. These include the Canadian Light Source Synchrotron, VIDO InterVac, VIDO Food Security, Global Institute for Water Security, and Sylvia Fedoruk Canadian Centre for Nuclear Innovation. In line with our University Plan (the university the world needs), we collaborate with communities and disciplines worldwide to address the planet's most pressing issues. The hard work, determination, and resourcefulness of our graduates demonstrate their accomplishments. This location encourages interdisciplinary study and collaboration. The Gordon Oakes Red Bear Student Center integrates Indigenous culture and helps bring together the university and Indigenous communities. The Health Sciences Building, where eight health sciences programs collaborate, also emphasizes hands-on learning.
