AVOID AVOID AVOID if you want anything done quickly and not cheap either - use a local solicitor you can talk to, will probably be cheaper as not paying commissions to mortgage brokers to introduce them, and who will actually respond - these factories are killing the property market.6. I have just completed on a sale and purchase with Emerald law conveyancing. The last week was stressful with issues down the chain but Lisa Oram and Minhal Quayyum were really helpful in pushing the transaction through. Lisa was also reassuring right the way to exchange. Also the completion was handled very efficiently.7. Very disappointing experience. It is extremely difficult to get hold of anyone by phone, calls regularly go unanswered and there isn’t even an option to leave a voicemail. For a professional firm operating in the conveyancing sector, basic communication should be a given. The lack of accessibility and responsiveness is very disappointing and not what you would expect from a company in this field.8. I can honestly say I cannot thank Julie and Beth enough for their amazing support with my house purchase. They were always incredibly responsive whenever I needed help. I found email was the best option to get a response, and every time I reached out they responded within minutes and provided clear information. Even if calls weren’t answered straight away they always came back soon after and never left me waiting. Both Julie and Beth were professional, caring, and very helpful during the whole process. This was the worst conveyancing experience I have had (and it is not my first property transaction). Emerald Law repeatedly ignored emails and failed to provide updates on my sale and purchase, leading to delays and me being homeless for several weeks. I raised a formal complaint and the firm issued a ‘Final Response’ accepting service failures and offering £250 compensation. I accepted but payment was not made despite their stated deadline and they have since ignored my emails so I have had to escalate to the Legal Ombudsman. I would strongly recommend others to think hard before using this firm based on my experience.11. I was very pleased with Angie and her team, they were the best.12. I was lucky enough to have Karine and Heather help me with the purchase of my first home. They were quick to respond and always helped me understand what was happening and what would happen next.
