Feedback Summary
1. In retrospect, we should have verified what SEO Works claimed before buying their services. The feedback here is disappointing since customer service was ineffective from the start and the quality of the work was questionable. Their expertise was poor in the technical aspects that are visible in the results. Sales fell as the SEO Works team kept trying new strategies to boost business, but there was no uplift - only a decrease. Over time, they pushed for Google Ads, but there was no additional business as the products and services advertised were not delivered. They wasted our entire advertising budget. It was not worth the time, effort, or money.
Feather Flags Express Review
The Telephone Communication was terrible, the account managers do not pick-up on direct dial, it always goes to voice-mail. If you select the reception option, it rings for a short while and then goes to voice-mail. Never not once did I ever get through by telephone, always waiting for a call following my request by email.
That said, sending emails, you WAITE, sometimes days if the account manager is having time off, no one picks-up, they do not tell you that no one running your account.
The Progress Meetings booked weeks in advance were cancelled by email hours before the agreed meeting time, offering lame and insulting excuses, the offered a revised meeting a week away, disgusting.
They sat in a zoom meeting telling how it was going, I was astonished when they said they did not know what to do to increase sales leads. Here is one for you, they reduced the daily spend rate against the budget, then tried to say they had reduced the advertising cost, suggesting they had made an improvement. The sales went down month by month while they tried various campaigns on PPC to give us the promised Return on Investment (ROI), but they failed to deliver.
We got to a point and had to suspend their access to our Google account and removed them completely. We modified the campaigns, changed keyword searches and immediate noticed an increase in sales.
We got an email from one of their directors quoting our contract and certain clause numbers to be worried about, then telling us our options, what a joke, it was clear he had looked at a different contract to the one we signed so we ignored him.
Then they offered a reduction in the purported outstanding contract value if we agreed and signed a non-disclosure agreement promising not to write negative reviews, clearly, We do not take it and paid my monies as per agreed upon.
We will not be bullied or threatened and still get emails asking to sign an exit agreement, yet I’m paid up and have no contractual agreement to answer.
2. I used SEO Works to help improve the rankings for the website for my business and saw positive results within a few months. I particularly liked the seo strategy and direction provided. The team were easy to work with and delivered what they said they would, when they said they would. I would fully recommend SEO Works to anyone looking for an SEO agency
3. We short listed a few options but The SEO Works stood out their presentation was so clean and they actually had the evidence to back up what they were saying. We brought them on for a full SEO and content strategy and the work flow between our teams has been very effective from the start. Ive been working with a team of three and the PM has been incredibly helpful through out the whole process. It’s been great to see our search visibility actually climbing.
4. Worked with them on a massive project, website design, dev, and then layers of SEO and PPC on top. Pulling off a rebrand and site launch had its challenges, but I was so impressed with how responsive the team were whenever something cropped up. Since launch we've already seen a significant jump in traffic since the PPC and banner ads went live in Jan. I will say, the web dev stage had a few hiccups but which web project doesn't? The discovery phase and research really helped shape the content, and the end result is a site that looks great and is finally driving leads.
5. We kicked things off by visiting the team in person to walk them through our whole product range and let them ask all the right questions before we even started. Our main thing was making sure we were getting the right kind of customers landing on the site, not just random traffic. It's only been a year since we launched the project and we’re already ranking #1 for our industry's main keyterm, with pretty much everything else in the top 3! We also get mentioned by Chat GPT regularly. The calibre of the staff there is what really stands out.
6. I’ve been using The SEO Works for over 12 months now, for both organic SEO/GEO and also Google PPC, and can honestly say the service and results from my team there have been amazing. Month on month growth, always clearly communicating the plan and areas to tackle and optimise next, the overall ROI has made a huge difference to my business. Can't recommend the team at SEO Works highly enough.
7. I found SEO Works through a search and picked them because our values were aligned and they had high ratings. Working with them has been a breath of fresh air. Jacob is very focused and consistent, and he takes the time to explain without making any question feel too small. Since starting weve seen increased in page rankings and AI overviews. If you're looking for genuine experts who are easy to talk to look no further.
8. We encountered the exact issues reported by another reviewer.
Important note on the reply given by the SEOWorks, below. I have the analytics reports open in front of me, and there was no improvement in organic traffic. The only temporary improvement came from an article we wrote ourselves.
Also, the CEO has not reached out by phone. The only communication we ever received from the CEO an email was to attempt to have our endorsement of another negative review removed. When we refused we received no further communication. Make of this what you will.
We saw no benefit whatsoever in our SEO traffic despite a six-month investment, and raised our concerns on multiple occasions; and during multiple calls and emails throughout the campaign. We have in writing where we raised the issues in detail.
The low point of the campaign was probably when we alerted TheSeoWorks that we had been completely delisted from Bing during their efforts; they had not noticed. We asked them to investigate and resolve, which never happened. So we actually ended the campaign in a worse position than we started.
We terminated the contract at the first possible opportunity (6 months and £12k+ spent).
After complaining, we attended a campaign review meeting at the end of the six months, at the end of which one of their representatives suggested the single solution of pausing the work in case we wished to restart later. We did not.
Many months later, we received an email from TheSeoWorks’ CEO, which we expected would be to apologise and to look to make up for the terrible results they had provided, on a complimentary basis.
Instead, he asked that we remove our endorsement of Feather Flags Express’s review so it would not be so prominent when people searched for TheSeoWorks.
We sent a detailed reply explaining the poor service we had received, and that we would not remove our review as a result.
They failed to respond.
