The Professional Learning Community (PLC) Charter Schools is committed to establishing a positive learning environment that promotes creativity, and where students can excel in their academic lives and solve real challenges as they work together. All children should be taught about their worth and know how important they are. Intent To create a Student-Family-Teacher-Civic relationship that builds a Professional Learning Community in which the arts, technology, academics, and real life are combined to educate and nurture the whole person. Learning is a right that all children should have access to. It is easy when parents, teachers, and students all have the same values and goals in mind. Interaction Students and school staff will interact daily in an effort to support good behavior and the development of healthy habits. Teachers and other school staff are expected to attempt to be friendly and supportive to students. A student is four times more likely to interact with a staff member if the student was found in good behavior than if the student behaved inappropriately. Staff members are also requested to attempt to engage in four positive interactions with students for every negative interaction.

The comments are a mix of positive and negative reviews. Most of the feedback praises the faculty and overall atmosphere of the school. It's well appreciated that the teachers are caring and supportive, the school seems to have a strong sense of community as well as the direct involvement of parents in school activities makes up a big family. There are excellent academic opportunities in the form of advanced programs or higher education opportunities. The school is described as a fun, social place with lots of activities. However, there are some reviews about alleged fighting and bullying issues, which could be detrimental. Overall, the AAEM has a largely positive feedback from the students, parents, and staff.
