Moon Valley Nurseries was founded in 1995, with the first location in the Moon Valley region just north of Phoenix. At first, it was just a small plant nursery. Owner Les Blake named it Moon Valley Nursery. In the beginning, people frequently asked nursery staff about trees. It was uncommon for any nursery to offer package pricing that included planting and warranty. In some situations, you would have to hire someone to plant a tree.
