Phoenix College History: Inclusion, Community, and Transformation In 1920, the founders of Phoenix College (PC) created the first institution of higher education in Maricopa County as an institution that is inclusive and non-segregated. PC is a vibrant community that values diversity, equity, accessibility, and transformation. PC is home to many immigrant and refugee families, Hispanic and Asian populations, and adult learners. PC provides affordable and life-enhancing education to all who seek it, as well as other community services. We have accomplished this with your help and financial support. This has also required a lot of time and effort from many people. Phoenix College needs your support and participation to improve and grow as an institution and place of belonging and possibility for all members of our community. Thank you for the opportunity to work with you, learn from you, and serve you. Phoenix College: You Are the School
