I am a client here at Sanctuary in women's residential treatment. I have about 15 days left until I graduate the 90 day program. If you would have told me I was going to stay for 90 days in a house of women, I would have said no way. But i gave my will to my higher power, and gave it a chance. And I am so happy that I did. I cannot say enough kind things about this program and the staff here. I love all the BHTs here because they really care and it shows. Sara spends so much time prepping for our groups, and has taken the time to get to know us all individually, and is so nice. Nikki is new here, but has fit in and brought in alot of knowledge her groups are intense, but makes us think and we get alot out of them. Were sad Monica has left, but she has moved onto be a case worker so I will see her when I go to IOP and that makes me happy because she is awesome. Weekend Ashleigh has so much heart, and cares about us so much she literally thinks about us when she goes home, she also has taught me the important lesson of keeping accountable, even in the little things that we don't think are important, but they are and I see that now. Heidi was one of my favorite people, she found employment elsewhere, but I am so happy to have met her on my journey. Same with Jason, I still remember valuable lessons he taught us in AMAZING big book studies, and talks he had with us. Lead BHT Ashleigh is one of the most amazing people I have ever met, she has taught me it is OK to be selfish in my recovery and put myself and my recovery first, and she really cares about each and every one of us and it shows. I love all the girls in this house too, but I am not able to talk about them for HIPPA reasons. But I am proud of us for how much I have seen us all grow as a family, And i did not even like girls when I got here when I found our it was not coed for the residential part, I tried to run! LOL Just shows how much this program can change your perspective on things.
