My primary identity is "Mother." Parenting is a daunting task, and only those who have experienced it understand its complexities. I have firsthand experience of the joys and struggles of parenting. I have also worked as a nationally-certified school psychologist, certified in school psychology. For my undergraduate work, I completed an undergraduate Bachelor's Degree from Bowling Green State University in Criminal Justice. I had a minor in Psychology with a specialization as well. I have been working with children and their families since 2001. I started by working with children who struggle with social skills and behavior. When I relocated from Ohio to Arizona, I went to Arizona State University for my graduate training. I earned a master's degree in School Psychology in 2014. In 2017, I completed a doctorate in Educational Psychology with a focus on School Psychology (MASTER OF SCIENCE IN PSYCHOLOGY). My dissertation and publications focus on the play behavior of preschool children. I am especially interested in kids who favour solo play. I have also published in the field of anxiety disorders and cognitive skills training. This study's objective is to establish a connection between solo play in young children and cognitive and academic development.
