When The Hairy Dog was founded in 2010, we chose a different path from the competition. From the beginning, we strived to make The Hairy Dog cleaner and extra hospitable places. You deserve a relaxing and enjoyable experience, and so does your dog. Furthermore, the company aimed to be honest about the cost of high-quality, full-service grooming from the beginning. Although it’s common in many industries, we didn’t want to set our prices based only on the time each groom takes. That revenue strategy wasn’t good enough for us. It sounds great in a spreadsheet to pay groomers for the number of dogs they groom rather than the hours they work, but what if the groomer rushes through jobs to get to the next one? Then it’s not a rapid service, it’s a rushed job. If you prioritize speed above quality, you get a rapid cut, and we didn’t want that. We set out to give each dog the care, time, and attention they needed.

So I called The Hairy Dog yesterday to see if I could take my puppy in who still hasn't had his last set of shots for at least a nail trim where we carry him back, he's a goldendoodle so I know he will need grooming services forever and want to start him early. She said absolutely yes bring him in any time we will trim his nails and start the clippers to get him socialized with grooming. I go in today at 4:30. Three girls just sitting there told me they were leaving even tho it says they are open until 5:30, it's still only 4:50 and I have made it back home, so I was there well before advertised closing time. She also told me they wouldn't do that. Like totally refused. Told me to make an appointment and come back in a couple weeks after he has had his shots. I didn't appreciate the miscommunication and I sure as hell didn't appreciate watching three lazy people just want to go home early versus just trimming my dog's nails. There was literally no other dog in the facility. I can't wait to take my dogs lifelong business to literally any other small business
This is an OK place. I was satisfied and would also recommend it. The pricing is affordable.

These guys are amazing. I have an 8 mo Pekingese puppy who doesn’t want you to touch his feet his face NOTHING. I had these guys groom him with my fingers crossed. They did the most beautiful job on him I’ve ever had done on any of my dogs. They were able to do his nails and the cutest teddy bear cut ever. No one will ever touch my dogs ever again but these guys. They are wonderful!!
