Ballet Rincon

Ballet Rincon, founded in 2001, is the premier school for classical dance in Southeast Tucson. We are committed to training young dancers with excellence and their physical and emotional well-being. As part of our mission, we offer the best professional training for dancing and inspire young people to be productive citizens and ambassadors of the beautiful classical world. Dancers from Ballet Rincon have the opportunity to perform two classical ballets each year, as well as a concert in the spring that includes jazz, tap, and modern dances. The Ballet Rincon Ensemble also frequently receives invitations to participate in community events. The Tucson Children's Museum Chinese New Year Gala, the Confucius Institute's Chinese New Year Gala at the University of Arizona's Centennial Hall, and the Tucson Festival of Books have all hosted past performances. In 2017, the partnership between Ballet Rincon and the Tucson Museum of Art led to the creation of Art in the Park, promoting youth arts groups with a public show and interactive activities. Dancers from Ballet Rincon have been accepted to some of the most well-respected dance programs and dance companies nationwide. American Ballet Theatre (ABT), Boston Ballet (HBA), Joffrey Ballet (Joffrey Ballet Academy), Kaatsbaan Extreme Ballet, and Washington Ballet are some of the most prominent companies. Top-ranking dance programs at universities have admitted dancers from Ballet Rincon, such as Indiana University, and The University of Arizona, and The University of Utah. Other dancers have also found success in gaining acceptance into some of the finest academic programs in the United States.

Ballet Rincon is praised by all who visit for its incredible staff. Both children and adults can begin or advance their dancing, thanks to Kim and her team's attention to proper technique and student care. Ballet Rincon is one of the best places, but it is also the only one that has a genuine concern for the health and minds of dancers, as well as a variety of body types and heights. The Director and staff understand and respond to their pupils and parents, and there are multiple dance styles, performance opportunities, seminars, and student and parent activities throughout the year, easily demonstrating a culture of happiness and learning.
