About this business

Paul B. Bartlett has been a State Bar of Arizona member since 1976. Usually, the way to change ownership is by system of merely signing the title to another person. For instance, signing the back of a car’s title allows someone to own it. Things become a bit difficult after that person is dead, especially if you don’t live in Chicago, where many dead individuals vote. To transfer a deceased person's property in Arizona, a person called a "Personal Rep" must be court-authorized to sign title transfers. For instance, in a real estate administration, the Court will first appoint the Personal representative. After the appointment of the personal representative, the clerk of the court will give the personal representative proof. Such a document is known as “Letters of Administration.” Then, the Personal Representative will issue a deed to transfer the property to the person named as a beneficiary in the Will. The deed and the Letters of Administration are recorded at the County Recorder's office to show that the Personal representative can legally sign the property transfer.
