Steps has provided our adult Driving Under the Influence Programs (DUIP) to many Kern County residents over the years. Whether you are a first-time offender who wants your license back, a conviction for reckless driving that made things worse, or multiple offenders with convictions that are due to chronic drug use, you are treated with respect and dignity. You are guided to achieve your goals. We do not judge you; we help you reach your goals as defined by you. DUI laws are getting more frequent. Our program is the only one in the County where people under 18 years old receive services to help them under the influence and drive again. Our clients come to us via the Kern County courts and or probation and from other counties. It is essential to help this population because the sooner we can stop their problems behaviors, the better.
