Hi, I am Dr. Arvin Doostan. I am proud to be working out of the Kaiser Permanente Lancaster Medical Offices. I was born and raised in Southern California, where I have always called home. I left for medical school, graduating from UCLA, which I followed by enrolling in the Chicago Medical School. My internship was in Long Island in New York and my residency was in Milwaukee. I was able to explore the United States during my training. California drew me back due to family, friends, and the great weather when I decided to start my own practice. Kaiser Permanente interested me because I could focus on dermatology and have other experts handle the financial and administrative matters. Their well-coordinated and effective operations and emphasis on prevention attracted me. Dermatologists specialize in diagnosing and treating skin diseases and conditions. In Antelope Valley, the sun is brutal, so many people here come to me with skin problems. The best defense against skin conditions is to limit sun exposure and apply sunscreen.
