Garden Co-Op Nursery School

Coordinator of Toy Loan and Program at Lanterman Regional Center, and held other positions there. I'm a lifelong learner and am always looking for new ways to improve my skills and understanding. I have a passion for helping young children develop and thrive. I began playing with all the other kids in the garden when I joined Garden Coop Nursery School as a parent in 2007. My younger son is graduating from UCLA, and I earned my Early Childhood Education certificate and became a teacher at The Garden. I was the School Director in 2014. I completed school administrative courses to obtain my California Child Development Program Director Permit. I have a Bachelor of Arts in French from UCLA and taught English in France for a year after graduation. I also worked as a Toy Loan and Program Coordinator at Lanterman Regional Center, conducting music classes and parent playgroups for five years. I know how hard the preschool years can be for parents and how rewarding they can be for children. I'm privileged to be able to support Garden School families on this journey and offer advice and help.

The Garden addresses the process of holistic preschool education, pursuing a play-based philosophy, being child-led, inclusive, and outdoor-focused. Parents claim that the school is more than just a learning institution because it adores and respects any child's uniqueness, making it a place where little ones thrive and are at their happiest. The parents believe that the nursery is not only beneficial to the kids but also to them, mainly because they believe in it. In their words, it is a magical place, a gem, and a special find, adding that it is run by dedicated teachers and parents who are very supportive and welcoming. Basically, parents approve the place since their kids' wellbeing is always catered for.
