Mentor Language Institute - Hollywood

Mentor Language Institute was founded in 2002 and is strategically located in Westwood and Hollywood to provide students from across the world with an ideal environment to hone their English skills. MLI uses an ESL Program or General English Program to deliver comprehensive language courses on six fronts: Grammar/Writing, Reading/Vocabulary, and Listening/Speaking. There is also more focus on other standardized tests that include TOEFL (r), GRE (r), GMAT (r), and IELTS (tm). This last option is more suitable for learners intending to pursue their academic studies at college. The ESL Program equips graduates with 8 varying levels of English proficiency. Thus, students who pursue college education in the region could obtain education from universities like Santa Monica College, USC, UCLA, and Santa Monica College.

Students overwhelmingly expressed their satisfaction with the school. They appreciated the classes provided in English and Japanese. Almost every student stated that it was sectional easy to understand. The class was fun and interactive. Students were able to use and practice what they had learned in the classroom. Many students also praised the school for their diversity of activities and parties. They were able to use English while having fun. This made it possible to improve their language skill. Many students have made friends quickly and they believe that the party culture has helped them achieve this feat. Students also stated that the teachers’ attitudes left a lasting impression on them. They were very knowledgeable and generous. The students also emphasized that the teachers taught me better. The family environment at school also provided students with a safe space. The school was considered a popular meeting place. Students were so grateful to be able to learn at school. However, some students speaks japanese. So, interaction between staff and students was always good. Other students appreciated their flexibility. One stated, “When I was the only student in a class, the school cancelled the class and put me in another class. One month was so meaningful. This made it possible to quickly express my thoughts and make a lot of friends. Thank you for this opportunity”. Students who want to learn with good teachers and agents were able to improve their language skills.
