Jixun Foo is the Global Managing Partner of GGV Capital. He joined the business in 2006 and is widely regarded as one of the top VCs in China. 18 of his investments are mega-unicorns. Jixun is a Singaporean scholar and venture capitalist leading GGV Capital’s international investment team. He also runs GGV Capital’s sector-focused investment strategy. Jixun has been consistently acknowledged as the most successful VC in Asia. He did four new IPOs in 2021. Jixun is a board member of SGInnovate, which is backed by Singapore to encourage entrepreneurship. He invested in Baidu in his early VC days. He is famous for supporting startup founders in Asia such as Robin Li, He Xiaopeng, and Anthony Tan, Grab, and Belva Devarahe, Ruangguru, Indonesia. Jixun, as a partner since 2006, has interacted with entrepreneurs in China’s travel, transportation, commerce, and social media industries. He has invested in giant unicorns such as Baidu (BIDU), Boss Zhipin, Grab (GRAB), Hello, Kujiale, Full Truck Alliance, Qunar/Ctrip, UCWeb, UCWeb, UCWeb, Youku Tudou, Xpeng Motors, and XPEV. He serves on the board of Baidu, Hello, Kujiale, Ruangguru, and XPeng Motors and has played a leading role in many key strategic mergers and acquisitions such as Youku-Tudou (first-ever multibillion-dollar tech merger in China), Baidu/Qunar, Ctrip/Qunar, and Full Truck Alliance (Yunmanman/Huachebang).
