Savage Jazz Dance Co is committed to a strong educational training program for aspiring professional dancers. Our students are trained in Ballet, Contemporary, and Jazz techniques, with an emphasis on technical and artistic expression. SJDC maintains a rigorous educational program where students learn Ballet, Contemporary, and Jazz Techniques with an emphasis placed on the role technical expertise plays in the dancer's professional career. The daily ballet classes are intended to create a greater understanding and awareness of the essentials of ballet education in aspiring contemporary performers and dancers. Students will also learn dance techniques and styles not part of the regular curriculum through master guest instructor classes. Oakland Dance Inc DBA Savage Jazz Dance Company's mission is to provide innovative dance classes and performances in Oakland, the San Francisco Bay Area, that explore and push jazz and contemporary music through dance movement and are informed guide through technique, philosophy, discipline, and quality. The school’s vibrant learning atmosphere will stimulate students daily to improve their training, discipline, and etiquette. The students will see the connection between life and dance through this learning process. Savage Jazz Dance Company's training is intended to give students the knowledge, discipline, and seriousness to continue their studies in universities and colleges or prepare them for a career in dance.
