The Atelier School of Classical Realism

Small-sized classes encourage individual growth through highly personalized instruction. Seasoned instructors train advanced students to enhance their drawing and painting skills, increasing their chances of success. Establishing and emerging artists have access to career counseling and can arrange Atelier courses to coincide with museum field trips. My idea to do all this walking and painting is not. Some Master artists used it, including Rembrandt van Rijn and Caravaggio. I’m using it to develop my paintings. I've combined. The separate, individual parts to create one more lively unit I call my Layered Painting technique. I use transparent oil to layer the sunlight areas. I add glaze medium to it, which is thinned until it becomes translucent. Two more layers of transparent glazes are put on very thinly and slightly overlapped to create shadows. You must wait for each layer to dry before you can apply the following one.
