Skincare has always been an obsession of mine since I was 11. I noticed changes as I went through hormonal changes. Acne, eczema, and perioral dermatitis were all part of my skin journey. However, this wasn't a skin issue; this was a challenge. That’s when it starts, but it just becomes the norm, or natural to the skin later. I’ve been asking questions since I was 11, but the answers I received weren’t logical. I have a skin condition that doctors can’t provide an answer to. I’ve tried everything. Doctors have prescribed many things, such as using Retin A, prescription strength Benzoil Peroxide, and antibiotics for a long time and having oral corticosteroids for months. They’ve also told me that this was because of a lip-piercing I had, or that I was just stressed. You may have been prescribed the same things for acne. Some people find these prescriptions effective, but not for me. My acne had to go, which was my life’s mission. I wanted to experience dry skin. So, it was okay to get rid of the acne first. I’ve been given more than 10-years worth of prescription medications to use over the past four years. My skin reacted to different ingredients. I discovered that diet was the solution. My skin was beginning to clear itself without prescriptions, and my acne is under control. The long-put-off plan was finally realized. My mission was to rid myself of acne. My skin began to respond differently to different ingredients so I changed my diet. My skin started to clear up on its own without prescriptions. Face Reality was my first choice. I've continued to educate myself with literally thousands of hours. I am a Paramedical Esthetician and have completed two Acne Specialty Trainings. Face Reality and Acne Detective. I am Hydrafacial certified and working towards Master Hydrafacialist. Regular facials and proper homecare products are critical for clearer skin.
