Creative Connections Arts Academy

At CCAA, students have several dance instruction options. The standard movement serves as their introduction to dance. As all classes usually do in the Winter Program, students in kindergarten through 12th grade create a dance routine using the basic dance techniques. For elective credit, CCAA junior and high school students can practice dance. Winter Dance Showcase for K-6 students, CCAA Elementary/High School Dancers, and Junior High/High school Dancers Exploratory classes- Students in the 1st-6th grades can choose Exploratory classes. Students will be prepared in a variety of art forms, introducing them to several creative outlets. Students must try one discipline before the third grade, and dance is among them. Each year, different teachers teach different dance classes.

Stephanie Rutledge, the school counselor, was highly praised for her friendly and understanding approach. She commented on how useful she finds the unique electives and drama program, which has allowed her son to learn various types of dances and play in productions. Enhancing another reviewer's conviction that it's an excellent school, the parent highly suggests the elementary. However, student opinions are divided: while some seem to enjoy and confirm the school's positive qualities, others dislike and leave it.
