San Diego Scout Shop

San Diego Scout Shop offers two types of camping experiences. One is Mataguay Scout Ranch (50 miles north of downtown San Diego in our local mountain ranges) which is a beautiful acreage of pines and acacias. The camping program there includes a variety of activities for Scouts to enjoy, plus swimming in the pool - everything a Scout might want about camping. Another type of camp is Camp Balboa located in Balboa Park just behind the Council Headquarters. The camp is just a few steps from the San Diego Zoo. There are other nearby attractions; make time to go there!!!!! The next camp is the youth aquatic centre located on Fiesta Island, MIssion Bay aquatic park where all manner of sailing sports, snorkeling and board sailing are happening. Sea world is also close by. Next on our list is Camp Bashor situated in Otay Regional Park. Camp Bashor is a result of a partnership between the San Diego Imperial Council and the County of San Diego. These two entities have worked together to enhance the park facilities for the Scouts, their families, and many other community groups to use.
