About this business

Patti O'Brien founded Patti's Swim School out of her love for kids and teaching. She is a mother to six children, and her swim school reflects her parents' understanding of what's best for children. In 1981, Patti, a high school student, announced Patti's Swim School's opening by distributing flyers to her neighbors. Her goal was to help kids and adults learn swimming safety. Her students accepted her immediately and their families loved her. Word spread, and Patti's Swim School has taught more than 40,000 children since 1981. Patti's Swim School was always a popular place for swimming safety classes. Patti's swim club encourages parent involvement in their child's education. The instructor and management are available for feedback and any concerns about the students' progress. Patti's pool is maintained with saltwater to ensure that the learning environment is optimal. In conventional swimming pools, there is a high consumption of chlorinated water which causes uncomfortable and blurry vision. In saltwater pools, instructors and students can learn safely without goggles and still obtain a clear and sharp view. Moreover, most conventional pools are maintained at temperatures that can affect the clarity and concentration of both teachers and students. Prolonged exposure to conventional chlorinated swimming pools can lead to severe eye damage and other health problems, so our pool is always maintained at a low temperature. Our pool is open during the warm seasons, May to October, but during winter, all swimming lessons are conducted indoor for safety.
