On Sasha Photography’s website, Sasha Yevelev is the CEO and photographer who has always had a passion for capturing people at their best. My family migrated to the United States from the Soviet Union nearly three decades ago. My grandfather was a portrait photographer who worked as a professional for over 50 years, and he survived World War II with great courage. He was a prevailing force in my life, and I hold him in high regard. My father worked as an apprentice in my grandfather's photography studio. He learned to use a JVC camera and gained experience by working as a videographer at American weddings. His job involved editing hours of film footage, which allowed me to spend time with him and watch him work. I remember seeing him work late into the night, piecing together cinematic narratives of joyous weddings. He would layer extra dimension to the footage by incorporating wedding and dance music, and this is how my love for photography started to build. My father watched me carefully, and I watched him without understanding what I was watching until I did because I knew he was a wonderful photographer. I watched him. I loved watching him walking into wedding halls as I waited for him to set up his equipment. I was a curious child, but I could not get my hands on a camera because my father was careful to store it in a safe place.-------------------------------------------------------------------------- For over fifteen years, I have been committed to capturing individuals at their finest in my Sasha Photography creative family photography. I aim to capture the beautiful and the breathtaking in every individual because that is what I fell in love with, and I wanted to see how people look when they are celebrated by photography instead of mere mortals. Unique energy is important for me when capturing family photography, and this is why my family photography is customized for each family. As a photographer, I know that shooting an individual is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. My family photography style would provide perspectives and ideas of what to expect when capturing a family in their natural environment. That is why I developed a family photography style that can be utilized for a variety of family events, including weddings, maternity/pregnancy, and children.
