Sextant is an independent café and roastery in San Francisco. Kinani Ahmed, a first-generation Ethiopian, founded our café. We partner with coffee farmers in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Colombia to offer the best coffee flavors to the world. The perfect cup is the result of a thorough path, from the coffee farm through the roasting and brewing process. Each coffee varietal has distinct characteristics and flavors. We seek to perfect our methodology with each batch. We want to create a consistent and superior product that allows the beans to shine. This vision for outstanding coffee motivates our team. Sextants are navigational tools that sailors have used to explore and navigate for generations. The sextant reminds us of how coffee was initially brought to Europe from Africa. It also symbolizes our dedication to procuring only the best beans for you. We want to ensure that our roasters work with the best beans possible. We have formed direct and sustainable relationships with the suppliers we purchase our beans from. Many of our farmers are family members and close friends. Our San Francisco roasters use state-of-the-art equipment to roast the beans for the least time possible. This method produces a more excellent product by highlighting the beans' natural flavors and attributes. Our goal is to make a superior product that changes the way you see coffee. Sunny Barcelona hosts our second roastery. We aim to bring its intellectual culture and architectural history into our products. Our coffee-producing regions are home to people who have cultivated coffee for generations. We strive to honor their traditions and expertise by showcasing their flavors and stories.
