The other incident that seems like the teaching staff might have threatened to throw sand at the kids to stop them from what they are doing was not 100% true, the gentleman had just see a partial of the situation where kids were asked if they would love to get the same treatment that they were giving the insect by throwing sand at them. By this question that the teaching staff asked, really helped the kids to stop their behavior and this made them understand better.
